About this Blog

When the thought of doing this blog first entered my mind, I thought of all kinds of reasons why I couldn’t do it. How can I share the Bible with others when I often feel that I am barely grasping it myself?  How was I going to keep up with having to produce content on a regular basis?  How was I going to get the blog out to very many people when I am not on any type of social media myself, and my circle of family and friends is so small? These types of questions were endless, and God addressed each one as it arose in my heart. The final question of “time” was solved when I found myself unexpectedly unemployed; well, THAT cleared up some time!

I chose a date to release the first entry in the blog and started working toward making it happen. Still feeling unsure, I spent time in prayer and didn’t mention what I was doing to anyone (except my husband) until a little over a week before the first one was coming out. Isn’t it funny how even when we know and trust God, we drag our feet like a three-year-old throwing a fit when He calls on us? Isn’t it amazing, that He leads us patiently to the realization that when we do as He wills, it causes us to become strong, loving, thriving members of His family?

I share this because I need you to understand, I am NOT a Bible scholar by ANY means (what? NO!). The reason for the blog is to build a structure for my own bible study, a conversation to bring my family and friends together in fellowship, and to share my journey through the scripture in a way that will encourage other women to share as well, even if they feel that they are not “ready” to do so. My hope is that the audience will grow beyond my family and friends, and I trust that it will, if it pleases God. Feel free to share any post if you feel led to do so.

We don’t have to know everything about the Bible to share God's Word; in fact, we will NEVER know everything! God is so much bigger than we can imagine or understand, and even after Jesus brings us to that place He went to prepare in His Father’s house, we will spend eternity learning about who He is!

“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.”

Thomas said to Him,“Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?”

Jesus said to him,“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
